  Pretty sick , dysfunctional church. Yet again another sex crime within Sovereign Grace. Lets see how many former pastors / staff members of this monstrosity are now in prison ? At least the pastor here, Gene Emerson was convicted of solicitation of a prostitute and NOT raping a child like others within SGM. The police had the pervert on tape and yet these idiots at this church defend him. Amazing coming from a church that has excommunicated women for divorcing abusive husbands.
  
  Sovereign Grace crimes include child rape (a 3 year old was the youngest victim), obstruction of police investigation, obstruction of justice, conspiracy to hide evidence, witness intimidation, extortion, physical abuse and child abuse. THIS IS A CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION !
  Please protect your children and leave this church.
  People wake up ! They had an administrator at the SGM christian school digitally penetrate young elementary school girls vaginas while beating them with a white cord. Google Sovereign Grace lawsuit or Sovereign Grace survivors for more information.
  
  Whatever you do, DON'T sign a membership agreement or convent agreement with this church. It is a very one sided, illegal agreement that attempts to put the member in a position of waiving their legal right to judicial review. Ask yourself, why would a legitimate church that doesn't rape children and commit a host of other crimes need such an agreement? It should be a real warning to any thinking person that they even draft this piece of garbage.

  Extremely shady stuff from this church. The long time head pastor (Gene Emerson) was caught by police paying for a prostitute. After he was caught he immediately asked for a paid sabbatical from his church (to cover his potential jail time), and was approved. He then lead a missions trip to South America. Once the media broke the story, he said he was innocent, and the church stood by him. The media reported more details, and the pastor finally admitted guilt, and the church said they would stand by him still.
  
  So the problem here is that the church didn't investigate anything, and waited to respond until the media broke the news. The church also said nothing about the pastor lying to the church and trying to get paid leave for jail time. Finally, the blog section of the website was edited to remove past posts about the sabbatical and other posts about the church standing by the pastors claim of innocence.
  
  Sovereign Grace churches have been accused many times before of covering up for their pastors, and has a very authoritarian culture for those in leadership. I will confirm what many have said: that this church, and this denomination, shares a lot in common with cults.

  We've been with Kingsway for about three years now and were there when the events unfolded concerning the senior pastor, which a couple of reviewers mentioned. Although it was a difficult time for the church, the remaining leadership stood strong in the gap for our bewildered loss. They were very open with the members about what was happening and repeatedly led us as The Body Of Christ, to pray over the entire situation, seeking truth and guidance from God. They offered counseling for those who were hurting and throughout the following months, made themselves available to all of us, at any time. The Bible is always taught in truth and the worship draws us to the heart of God. There are caring community groups where folks have bonds just like family. The church is strong on local and foreign missions, and does much to help the community. This diverse congregation is really made up of loving people who love Jesus and love everyone else as well.

  It was Jesus who forgave the actions of the billions who sinned greatly against Him, and it is only right His children do the same. I have witnessed love and solidarity within Kingsway, and a heart for the surrounding community; I believe they deserve to be known for such.
